I was pushing to reach 1oo. I could see the admiration for the speed-brakers. I was pushing towards 100. I could see the admiration for the humps. Damn, I need to sort this braking problem. I almost banged into the truck. It seemed to drop its speed more quickly than I anticipated. All these humps are making me nervous. We never know when a hump comes up on the road. It takes a night to find out. One day there will be no humps and the next day we find a hump staring at us with its full glory! I don’t understand the logic behind placing a hump on the ring roads. It negates the purpose of constructing the ring roads. But who cares? If we did, we wouldn’t be having democracy. Anyhow, the point is I braked in time. Ouch…three continuous humps that literally shaked my bike. Hm, started to accelerate again. There was a tickle in my pocket. Grr…some one is trying to reach me. I had to completely make a stop. Removed my helmet, hurried to get my cell out of my pocket otherwise I would receive after 5-10 minutes and I had to do this all over. It was my friend who had asked me to drop into his house. He was checking where I was. I said 10 minutes. It would take me atleast 15 minutes to reach there. Again I had to push. It was sort of exciting to see how fast I can go. It really depends on the traffic. Traffic was not much considering the fact that it was late afternoon. I was struggling to reach 100 kms. I never reached 100. I could reach 85 easily. After that it became a bit tricky. My bike started to scream louder and louder as I was trying to throttle it. I decided to maintain 85 otherwise I was afraid that it would hang up on me. As I was nearing my friends house, I could smell the exhaust with a burning odor. It’s normal for me. I noted that my bike should go to servicing asap. That means next month. My friend jumped along and we both went for a service center to get his merc! Yep it’s a merc for him. I don’t mind him calling it a merc, unless he refuses to give me a ride on that.
All these happened on last Thursday.
